AMS and Element Logic together on Wenaas delivery
AMS partners with the world's largest Autostore supplier and delivers a complete robotised warehouse system for Wenaas Workwear, Norway's largest workwear and safety equipment supplier.

AMS has provided its advanced direct FMS control system to Wenaas Workwear AS, Norway's largest workwear supplier. Wenaas has upgraded and automated its warehouse with Autostore and modern conveyor systems for seamless pallet and crate flow. direct FMS acts as a central control system at the heart of this upgrade, ensuring all systems work smoothly.
For over 20 years, Wenaas has prioritised efficiency and automation, leveraging crane storage over time. With this latest step to fully automate their warehouse and logistics process, their existing crane storage is now integrated into the new, modern facility’s flow. The facility consists of various conveyor systems, including inbound handling, Euro pallet conveyors, and crate conveyors, with Autostore centrally positioned for efficient storage and picking.
AMS provided direct FMS to integrate and manage logistics across the ERP system, crane storage, Autostore, and conveyor systems. FMS oversees the warehouse inventory, from receiving goods to final deliveries, ensuring optimal flow between different systems.

FMS manages receiving operations by controlling conveyors transporting goods from containers to the warehouse. The system monitors inventory, ensuring items are stored in the correct locations within the crane storage, Autostore, or manual warehouse. FMS continuously reports to the ERP system, enabling real-time updates throughout the supply chain.
direct FMS ensures logistics flow to manual Value Added Services (VAS) stations, where additional tasks like logo printing and embroidery are performed. The system effectively manages transport to and from these stations and forwards completed items to packing and shipping.
Wenaas has acquired a tailored solution for optimal logistics flow within its warehouse and production environment. By connecting the crane storage, Autostore, and conveyor systems into a single control system, Wenaas gains complete oversight of all processes. Integrated closely with the ERP system, FMS provides real-time reporting, enabling quick response, efficient handling, and streamlined logistics flow. The outcome is a highly efficient and reliable logistics process that maximises the use of modern technology.
With direct FMS, Wenaas now has a solution that efficiently handles the complexities of logistics flow, reduces manual operations, and ensures optimal performance for a supplier with high standards of precision and reliability. This strengthens Wenaas’ position as Norway's leading workwear provider.
