direct MES

Product Structure (BOM)

  • Advanced article register
  • Gain control of raw materials, semi-finished products and finished goods
  • Dynamic structural model
  • Manages goods needs, production needs and operation times
  • Article properties and documentation
  • Handling of waste
  • Dependency on resource and competence needs

direct MES supports advanced article and product structure, which allows for optimised requirement calculation and robust production control from goods receipt to finished goods. Take control of goods needs, resource needs, and capacity calculation!

Our solution handles all articles in the company, from raw materials, semi-finished products, components, and how these are assembled into finished goods you deliver to your customers. The dynamic structural model lets you organise and reuse the structural levels across different products.

Each product structure may consist of goods needs and operations to be performed. The goods can be raw materials or semi-finished products with their structures, quantity, and wastage. Each operation can have a connection to resource needs with associated operation times.

direct MES 's article register is designed to specify various properties, such as requirements for batch and serial numbers, whether the goods are purchased or self-produced, and requirements for labelling and receiving control.

When product structures are used in our requirement calculation and further into planning and production control, this can be understood as a BOM list with extended properties and dependencies to production with connections to operations and resources that meet implementation, control, and tracking requirements.

Product and Article Assignment:

With direct MES you can assign products or articles to different goods groups. This can assist with organising and categorising your products.

Structures with Properties:

Each product or article can have its structure, including several components or articles and associated operations. These components can have various properties like time estimates, material needs, quantity, etc. This gives you a detailed view of how the product is composed and how it should be produced.

Unlimited Number of Structures and Levels:

The system supports creating multiple structures for each product or article. In addition, these structures can have various levels of components and subcomponents. This allows you to handle complex products with multiple layers of parts.

Production Route and Material Consumption:

  • Automatically links goods needs to each production order
  • Operation sequence and resource needs

Planning and Production Control:

  • Dependencies between operations from different levels
  • Production orders are generated based on structures

Traceability and Quality Control:

  • Requirements for labelling and tracking
  • Calculate BOM with selected properties on the product

Goods Needs and Purchase Suggestions:

  • Generates purchase suggestions for the purchase of raw materials
  • Suggests the production of semi-finished products and components
